Freshly opened at the very end of 2024, JOIA Aruba by Iberostar brings a new era of luxury to one of the Caribbean’s most stunning beaches, Eagle Beach.
During my stay in February, I completely fell in love with this five-star where elegance, tranquility, and refined service meet seamlessly. (This is an honest opinion and hotel review based on my personal experience.)

The Charm of Eagle Beach at Your Doorstep
At JOIA, everything starts with an exceptional location: breathtaking views of the turquoise waters, direct access to a private section of Eagle Beach — a rare privilege on the island — and a naturally spectacular setting that immediately invites you to slow down and savor the moment.

Just a one-minute walk from the hotel, the soft, white sands of Eagle Beach stretch out endlessly. Beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, and bar service are available for guests to enjoy perfect days by the sea.
Elegant Suites and Five-Star Service
Designed in a U-shape to maximize ocean views, JOIA Aruba features 240 spacious suites decorated in a minimalist style inspired by the sea and the island’s lush nature.
Each suite offers ultimate comfort with a cozy sitting area, a furnished terrace with a sofa, and a private whirlpool bath. Some suites offer direct access to a semi-private pool instead of a whirlpool, for an even more exclusive experience.

Inside, every detail is thoughtfully curated: a mini-fridge with refillable water bottles, Royal Aruba Aloe bath products, a coffee machine, a clothing steamer, plush bathrobes, beach sandals, and touch-sensitive bedside lamps enhance the stay.
Guests can also choose their preferred type of pillow and enjoy 24-hour room service — small touches that make a big difference.
Global Flavors and a Stunning Rooftop View

Gastronomy is another highlight at JOIA Aruba. Three dining options are available on-site:
- Bucatini Market & Cucina, offering Italian flavors,
- Marea, celebrating modern Caribbean cuisine,
- and Bone Fire, a grill restaurant specializing in meats and fish (not yet open during my stay).

The Zima rooftop bar offers breathtaking panoramic views of Aruba — ideal for a sunset cocktail or a leisurely lunch.

The Star Café serves specialty coffee, teas, and sweet treats throughout the day, while the Lobby Bar provides a wide range of beverages in a relaxed, elegant atmosphere.

Spa, Pools, and Ultimate Relaxation

With three pools, including an infinity pool facing the ocean and another pool with a swim-up bar, JOIA Aruba is truly a haven for relaxation.

The spa area invites guests to unwind further with hydrotherapy baths, a dry sauna, and a steam sauna.
A wide selection of massages, body treatments, and beauty services is also available in a soothing environment.
A Unique Atmosphere in Aruba

At JOIA Aruba, every detail is designed to promote peace and a high-quality experience.
While a casino is scheduled to open in the future, the current ambiance remains firmly centered on relaxation, with live music performances, a sophisticated evening atmosphere, and spaces designed to fully appreciate the beauty of Eagle Beach.
