Lime and ginger mignonette sauce for oysters

What do you like to serve with your oysters?

Some go for the simple version, with only a few drops of lemon juice, others add Tabasco, horseradish or mignonette.

Mignonettes and condiments are a great way to give oysters a nice touch.

Lime and ginger mignonette

The delicate and salty taste of this mollusk is a good match for lemon as well as spicy and vinegary ingredients.

As an alternative to the classic mignonette with red wine vinegar and shallots, you must try this version with rice vinegar, lime, ginger and spicy sauce.

The result is a deliciously tangy and slightly sweet sauce, enhanced by a spicy touch of ginger and sriracha.

For the ginger, I recommend grating it with a microplane to get the finest pieces possible.
