Published in 2020, this book remains, in my opinion, a must-have to bring a little variety to our homemade lunches !
Salad recipes and more
This book, a big favorite, gives us all the secrets and recipes that make the success of the restaurant’s dishes.
Many of the salads served in their restaurants are featured in this book, but also a variety of other dishes:
- meal bowl recipes (perfect for winter);
- vinaigrette recipes;
- many of their desserts recipes, including their delicious chocolate cookies.
The recipes found in this book are very gourmet, several being also main dishes that could be served in the evening, such as the one with lacquered duck or the one with steak.
Lots of tips for successful dishes
But what also makes this book essential is all the advice that the two Wolfe sisters give us for successful recipes.
For example, one of the first tips, and perhaps the most important, that the authors give us is to start by following their recipes to the letter, since the quantities of each ingredient are dosed in order to obtain the perfect ratios of flavors and of textures.
The book is also full of recipes and inspiring ideas to energize our salads a bit and I now have a jar of Mandy’s homemade dressing in the fridge all the time!
