Here is a selection of three wines that will bring you pleasure on their own, at the apero or during a meal.
Domaine Mourgues du Grès Terre d’Argence 2021
Like a bright and sunny blue sky, this certified organic white from the Rhone Valley amazes. François Collard excels, having taken over the property formerly held by his father, a graduate in agronomy and oenology.
The scent of ripe yellow apples, honey and almond croissant are a delight.
Fresh, long and ample (aged 6 months on lees), with 50% Viognier, Petit Manseng and Roussanne, it will sublimate tapas, seafood dishes or fish in sauce. Available at the SAQ
A less ample and very pleasant daily alternative would be the Château Mourgues Du Grès Les Galets Dorés 2022.
Domaine de Reuilly rosé Pinot Gris 2021
This certified organic Pinot Gris will make you smile like a field of flowers that adorns the landscape. Its rose petal color is brilliant! In 1990, Denis Jamain took over this property located one hour from Sancerre.
This “grey wine”, that had a short maceration of 2 hours, offers an expression of strawberry, raspberry and peach, flowers as well as sweet spices.
It calls for gastronomy, crab or marinated salmon in particular by its elegance, its radiant side. Available at the SAQ
Their 2019 Domaine de Reuilly Les Pierres Plates white is otherwise delicious and dashing.
Weingut Pittnauer Pitti 2020
Like the magic of a setting sun, this unpretentious red wine that plays the Austrian card will add a touch of magic.
At the age of 18, Gerhard Pittnauer was given the family estate. He takes up the challenge with brilliance at a bargain price.
Its red color amazes and it dances in the mouth. This juicy blend of organic Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch brings red fruits, spices and freshness.
A must for charcuterie or pizza, it shines with a thousand lights.
