Once again this year, Exporail promises to transport its visitors into the magic of Christmas.
Mission accomplished! For the occasion, the largest railway museum in the country is decked out in its most beautiful lights to amaze young and old alike.
Don’t miss the opportunity to participate in the various Christmas activities offered from November 25, 2022 to January 3, 2023.
You might even catch a glimpse of Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves!
The Christmas train

On November 26 and 27 and December 3, you can take a ride on the Christmas train.
Departures are every hour from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from the Hays Station at the entrance to the site.
Once you’ve settled in on the train, you may be in for a nice surprise, including a visit from Santa Claus.
Plan to arrive about 15 minutes early, which will allow you to visit the interior of the Station and get a great panoramic view of the Exporail site from the second floor.
Festive and family atmosphere
As soon as you step into the Grand Gallery, you will be immediately captivated by the festive atmosphere that reigns there.
A 12-foot Christmas tree, decorated vehicles, illuminated locomotives and an elf sleigh are present to give the Museum a holiday feel.
Children can also participate in a Christmas craft activity in the mail car.
Meetings with Santa Claus are also scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays from December 4 to 18.
Film screenings, model train exhibition and a search for Christmas stockings will also enhance your visit.
Christmas cookie workshop
A stop at the Christmas cookie workshop is to be expected. For $2, you get a gingerbread cookie in the shape of a train to decorate and a glass of milk.
This will allow you to sit down and take a short break.
Good to know
There is a section of hooks at the entrance of the Museum (on the right after the boutique) where you can put your coats to enjoy the exhibition without getting too hot.
We also recommend that you take a good look at the schedule of the different activities in order to plan your visit and not miss anything
As this is a very busy activity, it is strongly recommended that you purchase your tickets in advance on the Exporail website.
